About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at JnB Homecare Services Ltd. as a key member of our kitchen operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our clients, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Culinary Operations: Supervise and coordinate the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a safe and timely manner.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques, as well as kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure that the kitchen and all food service areas are clean and sanitized at all times, meeting the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Culinary Certification: Possess a valid Cook Trade Certification and other relevant certifications, such as WHMIS, Safe Food Handling, and Food Safety.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts and kitchen operations.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift heavy objects as required.
