About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at ABS Truckwash and Lube Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fluid Maintenance: Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids to ensure smooth operation of our equipment.
  • Assist Mechanics: Provide support to our mechanics and perform other duties as directed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Engine Maintenance: Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of our vehicles and equipment.
  • Greasing and Lubrication: Grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of our heavy equipment to prevent wear and tear.
  • On-Site Services: Provide on-site services to our customers, ensuring prompt and efficient maintenance of their equipment.
  • Filter Replacement: Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on our motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Conditions: The work environment is physically demanding, with exposure to various weather conditions and equipment noise.
