About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Mix and Trading Intern to join our team at CC&L Private Capital. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into the world of asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review client account details and verify trade restrictions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and review Asset Mix Outage Reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage inquiries from clients and provide timely and accurate responses.
  • Assist in the analysis of unrealized gains and losses to optimize investment portfolios.
  • Review client accounts for tax efficiency and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the review of alternative commitments and funding options.
  • Run and create custom reports to provide insights into investment performance.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests and projects as assigned by senior team members.
  • Collaborate with managers to plan and model trades to optimize investment returns.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree or MBA program in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets and financial concepts.
  • Proficient in MS Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with high workload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of various account types, including RRSP, TFSA, LIRA, FHSA, etc.
