Job Summary

Autobus Québec Métro 2000 inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our bus fleet.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on vehicles to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of parts and materials.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanics and other maintenance staff.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • PPE card (mandatory).
  • At least 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance.
  • Valid Canadian work permit (mandatory).

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, day shift.
  • Starting salary: $/hour, depending on experience.
