Job Title: Roofer

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team at M & R ROOFING,SIDING AND RENOVATION LTD. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices in the art of roofing.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Install sheet metal flashings.
  • Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan roofing projects.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for roofing projects.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Ability to work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Team player with excellent client focus.
Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality roofing services to our clients. As a Roofer, you will be required to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and in a variety of locations.
