Junior Metallurgist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Metallurgist to join our team at SGS. As a Junior Metallurgist, you will assist in the development and implementation of metallurgical processes, participate in laboratory and pilot plant environments, and contribute to the interpretation of results.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of metallurgical processes, including laboratory and pilot plant experiments.
- Participate in the interpretation of results, including data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with senior metallurgists and project managers to develop and implement metallurgical processes.
- Contribute to the development of reports and presentations for clients.
- Assist in the management of small projects, including scheduling and coordination.
- Support in compiling and analyzing metallurgical data.
- Direct and supervise technicians and technologists as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Hydrometallurgy, Mining Engineering, or a related science discipline.
- Up to 3 years of experience in a minerals-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in mineral processing, hydro metallurgy, and gold metallurgy is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using various computer software, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
