Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Metallurgist to join our team at SGS. As a Junior Metallurgist, you will assist in the development and implementation of metallurgical processes, participate in laboratory and pilot plant environments, and contribute to the interpretation of results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of metallurgical processes, including laboratory and pilot plant experiments.
  • Participate in the interpretation of results, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior metallurgists and project managers to develop and implement metallurgical processes.
  • Contribute to the development of reports and presentations for clients.
  • Assist in the management of small projects, including scheduling and coordination.
  • Support in compiling and analyzing metallurgical data.
  • Direct and supervise technicians and technologists as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Hydrometallurgy, Mining Engineering, or a related science discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in a minerals-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in mineral processing, hydro metallurgy, and gold metallurgy is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using various computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
