Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a skilled Terminal Manager to lead the daily operations and performance of our Kentville, NS location.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with departments and terminals to optimize equipment and freight movement, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Supervise daily terminal duties, ensuring performance, quality, and service standards are met, including dock cleanliness, order fulfillment, and equipment maintenance.
- Manage employee relationships and performance, fostering a culture of trust, open communication, and accountability.
- Prepare reports on performance, freight damage, accidents, customers, and employees to inform decision-making.
- Work with the Director of NS to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on volumes and customer demand.
- Ensure the Kentville Terminal complies with safety, training, and regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and processes.
- Minimum five years' experience in transportation and logistics or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education.
- Minimum two years' experience in a terminal supervisor role.
- Knowledge of the road transportation industry, including Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is an asset.
A fast-paced terminal/office environment with variable shifts, a high volume of communication, and opportunities for growth and development.
