Job Title: Lifeguard

The Role

As a Lifeguard, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing top-notch water safety and rescue techniques to participants
  • Maintaining constant surveillance of members and guests in the pool and on the pool deck
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and lifeguarding procedures
  • Providing exceptional customer service to meet the diverse needs of members
  • Building and sustaining relationships with new and existing members
  • Staying current on lifeguarding and safety techniques to enhance performance
  • Proactively addressing member concerns or issues related to pool safety and escalating them to the Operations Manager
  • Accountable for maintaining and upgrading certifications
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Related lifeguarding experience
  • Current Lifesaving Society Instructor (LSI) certification
  • Standard First-Aid and CPR-C certification
  • Ability to react calmly in emergency situations
  • Basic understanding of pool operations and water chemistry
  • Flexibility regarding assigned work hours, including morning, days, evenings, and weekends
