About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at School District #37 (Delta). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our HVAC systems, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including renovations and modifications
  • Install and test new HVAC equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of all systems
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal system performance
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent
  • B.C. Trades Qualification or Inter-Provincial Certificate in HVAC/Refrigeration
  • Class "B" gas ticket; Class "A" gas ticket an asset
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in the trade
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including DCC systems, HVAC controls, and hydronic heating systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and control schematics
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and safe driving record
  • Physically capable of performing duties of the position
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
