About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at School District #37 (Delta). As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, alteration, and installation tasks on HVAC systems, as well as minor elements of other trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and alteration tasks on HVAC systems, including renovations and modifications.
  • Work under the direction of the Foreperson - Mechanical and report to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
  • Perform minor elements of other trades, as required.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of heat pumps, including DCC systems, HVAC controls, and hydronic heating systems.
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and control schematics to ensure accurate work.
  • Safely operate and maintain a large variety of machinery.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a secondary school graduation program or equivalent.
  • Completion of B.C. Trades Qualification or Inter-Provincial Certificate in HVAC/Refrigeration.
  • Class "B" gas ticket required; Class "A" gas ticket an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience working in the trade.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and safe driving record.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a crew.
