The responsibilities of the Housekeeping Team Leader include coordinating employee schedules, providing training and motivation to team members, and inspecting both private and communal areas for cleanliness. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of hygiene regulations and effective team management skills.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our daily housekeeping functions operate efficiently and that our guests enjoy a pleasant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance procedures
  • Supervise staff on a daily basis
  • Inspect rooms and shared spaces, including staircases and lounges, for cleanliness
  • Organize work shifts and arrange for substitutes during absences
  • Set and communicate cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards to staff
  • Encourage team members and address any workplace issues
  • Handle customer feedback and special requests
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies such as floor cleaners, bleach, and gloves
  • Engage in larger cleaning initiatives as needed
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation regulations in all areas
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader or in a similar capacity
  • Practical experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks in large establishments
  • Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Strong organizational and team leadership skills
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • A high school diploma is advantageous
