Job Title: Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Dendoff Springs Ltd. as a Leaf Spring Maker.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal products, including leaf springs, using various metalworking machines and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Operate gas or oil-fired furnaces to heat metal to proper temperatures prior to forging
  • Operate machines or equipment that weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal parts together
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Place metal pieces in furnaces
  • Position heated or cooled metal pieces on dies of presses or other forging machinery
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Remove metal pieces from furnaces when color or metal indicates proper forging temperature
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in metal fabrication
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods
