We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our dynamic logistics operations. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and exceptional service within our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first environment, ensuring that health and safety protocols are prioritized and adhered to throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to the Code of Business Conduct and company policies, addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of safety, security, and cleanliness within the warehouse.
  • Work alongside regional Health & Safety leaders to implement preventive programs.
  • Partner with Food Safety leads to uphold Cold Chain Assurance standards, including HACCP compliance.

People Leadership

  • Embrace a servant leadership approach, cultivating an inclusive and supportive team atmosphere.
  • Assist in facilitating regular communication sessions to discuss safety initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and develop team performance, providing constructive feedback and recognition.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of warehouse staff.
  • Oversee work schedules and ensure effective job assignments and attendance management.
  • Spend the majority of the day actively engaging with the team on the warehouse floor.

Customer Experience

  • Drive high standards of service, ensuring customer satisfaction is consistently exceeded.
  • Measure and report on service metrics, collaborating with the team to enhance customer experiences.
  • Implement operational improvements to meet or exceed service expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and timely order fulfillment.

Operational Excellence

  • Set operational goals in partnership with management, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance.
  • Manage inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock handling.
  • Support cost control measures, including overtime and expense management.
  • Supervise the checking of freight for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all material handling equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to warehouse staff for operational visibility.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • First Aid certification is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in high-volume inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with warehousing software and Microsoft Office applications.
