At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreperson to lead our construction team at the Dawson Creek Hospital project.

About the Role:

  • Lead construction projects and ensure that construction goals are achieved and meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Produce high-quality work that results in an exceptional client experience.
  • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes.
  • Work with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule.
  • Provide clear direction to team members to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Attend and provide input at project meetings and ensure that information is transmitted to the team.
  • Assess target production goals and establish a team workflow to achieve them.
  • Support staff through coaching and team huddles.
  • Efficiently and safely use relevant tools and equipment to produce various assemblies for the project.
  • Maintain a healthy, happy work environment and corporate culture.
  • Ensure clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites.

Requirements:

  • Skilled Carpenter with experience managing construction teams.
  • Hold a valid Journeyperson ticket.
  • Experience with Building Envelopes.
  • CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015.
  • Fall Protection (Ossa Preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Civil experience an asset.
  • Understanding of construction phases and workflow.
  • Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing.
