Homewood Health operates a private 75-bed facility specializing in mental health, trauma, and addiction services, providing evidence-based, medically-led inpatient care for various populations. Our location offers a safe and comfortable environment with beautiful views and a team of skilled healthcare professionals available around the clock.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in a collaborative environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, including mopping floors, sanitizing furniture, and cleaning bathroom fixtures
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and mops
• Ensure common areas, restrooms, and hallways meet health and hygiene standards
• Sanitize toilets, showers, countertops, and sinks
• Wash walls, ceilings, and doors using appropriate methods
• Dust and polish various surfaces, including furniture and fixtures
• Manage laundry tasks, including sorting and washing
• Restock bathrooms with necessary supplies
• Clean glass surfaces and mirrors
• Dispose of waste and replace liners as needed
This is a casual position.
Qualifications:
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or institutional setting is preferred
• Training in infection prevention and control is an asset
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attendance and work ethic
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and afternoons
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and various movements
