Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, loading, and unloading of delivery vehicles, utilizing both manual and mechanical methods.
  • Carefully organize and secure merchandise on trucks to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct safety checks on equipment and ensure that all materials are properly secured.
  • Follow instructions provided by the delivery drivers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Prepare designated areas for the appropriate placement of materials upon arrival.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Participate in Health and Safety Training sessions provided by the company.

Requirements:
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety boots, and safety vest/jacket is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations applicable to job sites.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to read instructions and complete necessary documentation.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience in physically demanding roles is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting techniques is essential.

Working Conditions:
  • Physical strength is required, with the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with manual dexterity.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures.

Certifications:
  • Valid ASP Card is required.
  • Working at Heights certification is preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
