Compensation: $18 – $20 hour

Have you ever faced the overwhelming challenge of water damage in a property? It can be one of the most distressing situations for our clients. At On Side Restoration, our Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) are dedicated to alleviating water-related stress, restoring peace and order to affected homes and businesses.

Position Overview – Water Damage Technician

As a Water Damage Technician, you will respond to emergencies involving burst pipes, blocked drains, sewer backups, and other water-related incidents. Your ability to understand the urgency of these situations and provide compassionate, calm support to customers is essential for success in this role.

Working collaboratively, WDTs will clean up and restore properties to their pre-disaster condition, ensuring a thorough and efficient process.

Qualifications:

A successful WDT possesses a variety of skills, with a proactive attitude being the most crucial. Additional qualifications include:

Mechanical understanding— the ability to assess and comprehend how systems function Attention to detail and a curious mindset Strong organizational skills and punctuality— you know where your tools are and rarely arrive late Physical fitness— the role may involve heavy lifting and navigating confined spaces A friendly demeanor and a passion for teamwork A commitment to safety A valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to pass On Side's criminal background check Proficiency in English or French (QC) at an intermediate level

Previous experience in related fields such as demolition, carpentry, construction, plumbing, or landscaping can be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Additional Assets:

IICRC Water Damage Technician Certification (we will assist you in obtaining this if needed)

Important Note:

Water-related emergencies can occur at any time, necessitating a rotating schedule that includes 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
