Project Planning Hydrogen Locomotive Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure procurement strategies align with project goals.
  • Develop and manage purchase requisitions, RFPs/RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate prices, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, innovations, and regulations related to fueling infrastructure and energy procurement.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with agreements and quality standards.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, market analysis, and supplier performance to management.
  • Train, qualify, and maintain a firm understanding of railroad operations safety.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards throughout the procurement process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project/materials management, specifically in sourcing and managing suppliers for transportation and/or infrastructure projects. Experience in the energy sector or fueling infrastructure is highly advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and legal regulations in the railway and technology sector.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
