About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team at Ensil Inc. as a key member of our engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems and components.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Estimating and Scheduling: Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, and specifications for electronic projects.
  • Writing Specifications: Write detailed specifications for electronic components and systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components and systems.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Research and Development: Conduct or supervise applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Testing and Analysis: Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in electronics engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, and physics. Proficient in using computer numerical control (CNC) machines and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Equipment and Systems: Experience with telecommunication systems, NC and CNC systems, robotic equipment and systems, infrared equipment, radar equipment and systems, data communication equipment and systems, electric motors, generators, drives, and motor controls, radio communication equipment, navigation equipment and systems, automotive equipment and systems, electronic testing equipment and systems, building systems, lighting systems, lasers, industrial processes, medical and biomedical equipment and systems, communication satellites, and security systems.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the telecommunications and communications, aerospace, electrical utilities, energy, and manufacturing industries.
  • Area of Specialization: Design, development, testing, operations or production, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Security and Safety: Confidential security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and stand for extended periods.
