About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technologist to join our team at Amphenol Canada Corp. As an Electronics Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in designing and developing power equipment and systems, interpreting blueprints and other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation, and supervising the building and testing of prototypes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power equipment and systems to meet customer specifications
  • Interpret blueprints and other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation, ensuring efficient and safe execution
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Test power equipment and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of new products and technologies
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support project planning and execution
  • Write specifications for power equipment and systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components to ensure quality and reliability
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Conduct safety training programs to ensure employee awareness and compliance
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data to support project planning and execution
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics to support product development and innovation
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
  • Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports to support project planning and execution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to ensure efficient and safe execution
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices to ensure safe and efficient execution
