Position Overview
The University of Ottawa is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Health and Physical Education Specialist at the Intermediate/Senior level. This position requires a Master's degree in education, with a specialization in Physical Education and Health. A second area of expertise is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate ongoing professional development initiatives aimed at implementing the Ontario Curriculum effectively.
- Lead professional learning sessions for educators and administrators focused on Health and Physical Education pedagogy.
- Engage actively in a professional network dedicated to Physical Education.
- Demonstrate experience in facilitating Intermediate/Senior Physical Education and Health Additional Qualifications (AQ).
- Participate in or hold leadership roles within educational professional organizations.
- Design and implement a comprehensive Physical Education and Health program in accordance with Ontario educational standards over the past five years.
- Exhibit the ability to apply the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession in Ontario.
