Medical Administration Coordinator

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administration Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Medical Directors and coordinate medical staff recruitment, credentialing, and reappointment processes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative assistance to the Medical Directors, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinate medical staff recruitment, including drafting and advertising for vacancies, ensuring all application documentation is in order, and arranging for physician interviews and accommodations.
- Maintain all staff and locum physician records, including electronic databases and paper-based files, and produce reports as requested.
- Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, identifying and notifying interested parties, and taking minutes.
- Liaise with various departments, internal and external contacts, and community organizations to obtain information and follow up on outstanding issues and requests.
- Diploma in a related program plus three to five years' recent, related experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
- Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm.
