Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Psychiatrist (Early Childhood) to join our team at Richmond Hospital. As a key member of our Early Childhood Mental Health Program, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to children aged 0-6 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new programs to support the mental health needs of young children and their families.
  • Collaborate with community service providers, including teachers and school counselors, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Participate in the training and education of medical students, residents, and other allied health professionals.
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of program initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Full
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Good knowledge of child relational/developmental/psychotherapeutic theory and practice
