Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Renovation Carpenter to join our team at 756795 Ontario Ltd. This role involves working in various environments, including residential and commercial settings, focusing on renovation and construction projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in carpentry or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in carpentry, specifically in renovation projects.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to confined spaces and dusty conditions.
  • Work is primarily conducted at construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed layouts in accordance with building regulations using precise measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roofing systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in diverse settings.
Supervision

Responsible for overseeing 1 to 2 apprentices or junior carpenters.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Tools and Equipment
  • Must possess personal tools and safety equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong client focus and excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while upholding values and ethics.
