Overview
Arrow Transportation Systems Inc is a leading provider of bulk commodity hauling, freight management, and logistics services in Canada and the U.S. We are seeking a professional Class 1 truck driver to join our team and contribute to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 1 truck to haul bulk commodities, including wood fibre, in B train trailers.
- Ensure safe and secure loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to applicable Acts and Regulations.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Comply with legislation, including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, and occupational health and safety.
- Record and maintain relevant paperwork, including bills of lading and documentation.
- Communicate with bases, supervisors, and other drivers using truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones.
- Complete electronic logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
Requirements
- Class 1 truck driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- At least two job references.
- B train experience is an asset.
- Mountain driving experience is an asset.
- Driver's abstract with no suspensions.
