Position Overview:

The role of the Director within the BMO Family Office presents a unique opportunity to engage with affluent families and their advisors, delivering tailored wealth management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advisory services to enhance client relationships and expand the BMO Family Office portfolio.
  • Facilitate connections between clients and internal wealth management professionals to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Act as the main liaison for the Family Office team, assessing initial deal opportunities and collaborating with relationship teams.
  • Implement strategies to broaden service offerings that align with clients' personal and financial objectives.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to introduce the BMO Family Office platform to potential clients and support relationship managers.
  • Develop and maintain a network of internal and external referral sources to enhance business growth.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to client meetings by preparing relevant content and presentations.
  • Ensure effective communication across the Family Office platform to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Monitor and track all deal opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and execution.
  • Provide guidance on complex client situations and offer strategic insights for wealth management solutions.
  • Engage in the development of business strategies and initiatives, making recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters and industry best practices.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilize analytical skills to assess strategic issues and develop actionable solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in wealth management or financial services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of private banking, investments, and estate planning.
  • Proven ability to build trust with high-net-worth clients and articulate the value proposition of BMO Family Office.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage competing priorities.
