Product Innovation Manager

Position Overview: As a Product Innovation Manager, you will report directly to the Director of New Product Development and play a crucial role in shaping our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Documentation and Management: Collaborate with Product Managers to establish a comprehensive product roadmap and multi-year strategy. Your expertise will drive sales and enhance brand strength through effective documentation for vendors, ensuring alignment with product specifications.
- Project Tracking: Utilize a stage-gating system to monitor project progress from inception to completion. Work closely with Project Management to set up and oversee projects of varying complexity, ensuring all requirements are met at each stage.
- Product Design: Lead the design process from concept to execution, consulting with vendors to align with market trends and consumer needs. Your ability to visualize and communicate design ideas will be essential.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines and deliverables in partnership with Project Management, providing insights and projections for various initiatives.
- Marketing Strategy: Develop comprehensive marketing roadmaps and multi-year plans aimed at increasing market share and brand visibility. Engage with survey groups to identify product opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
- Strong background in business case analysis and profit and loss evaluation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Solidworks.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in product testing and validation processes.
- Solid understanding of business management principles.
- Ability to source suppliers for manufacturing and packaging needs.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to adapt designs for manufacturing.
- Work with Brand and Merchandising Managers to uphold product integrity.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and testing.
