We are currently in search of a Leasing Agent to support our operations at DMS Property Management. The Leasing Agent will work under the guidance of the Regional Manager and will be tasked with managing the leasing processes for a variety of properties.

As an integral part of the property management team, the primary duties of the Leasing Agent encompass the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all inquiries related to residential leasing through various communication channels, ensuring prompt and courteous responses.
  • Schedule and conduct property showings at times that are convenient for prospective tenants.
  • Notify current tenants of upcoming showings to minimize disruptions to their living experience.
  • Conduct tours of available units, showcasing the property to potential renters.
  • Process rental applications, ensuring that candidates meet the company’s standards and are suitable neighbors for existing tenants.
  • Compile completed applications for the Property Manager’s review and approval.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including reports on property availability, traffic, and market surveys.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including updates to the company website and promotional materials.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in using computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel; experience in office management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage responsibilities, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and its importance in the leasing process.
  • Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant landlord programs is advantageous.
