Job Summary

Rising Finishing & Carpentry Ltd is seeking skilled Construction Trades Helpers and Laborers to join our team. As a Construction Trades Helper, you will assist carpenters in various tasks, including fitting and installing doors, flooring, stairs, windows, and baseboards. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and assisting equipment operators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters in fitting and installing doors, flooring, stairs, windows, and baseboards
  • Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades required at the construction site
  • Assist with levelling surface areas
  • Assist equipment operators with moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Clear the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions
Requirements
  • Some Secondary School Education will be an asset
  • Some experience as a general construction labourer will be an asset
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
  • Ability to lift weight (50lbs)
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as required
