About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at Auberge du Pommier. As a Server Assistant, you will provide exceptional support to our Servers by ensuring that all tables are properly set, clean, and complete. You will also be responsible for monitoring food quality and presentation standards, as well as communicating with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all tables for proper mise en place, cleanliness, and completeness
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and have exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items
  • Assist with food running and monitor food quality to ensure O&B presentation standards
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
  • Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience

Requirements

  • A Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification a requirement
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High level of product knowledge
