About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Albion Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Collect and process biological samples for laboratory testing
    • Assist with animal restraint and handling during medical procedures
    • Provide wound care and bandage management
  • Medical Support
    • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery and anesthesia
    • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
    • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to veterinarians
  • Client Communication
    • Counsel clients on animal health and provide education on care and management
    • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Administrative Support
    • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
    • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Requirements
  • Education
    • College diploma or certificate in veterinary technology or a related field
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
