Panjwar Enterprises Inc. is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care for animals. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of pets and livestock during their treatment processes.
Educational Requirements- Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
The position is based in a Veterinary Clinic, where teamwork and compassion are key to our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the handling, restraint, and care of animals receiving treatment and surgical procedures.
- Support veterinarians before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Carry out prescribed treatments as outlined by the veterinarian.
- Identify and monitor livestock health.
- Provide guidance to clients regarding animal health care practices.
- Perform routine dental procedures and assist veterinarians in dental care.
- Deliver nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals.
- Administer wound care and bandaging as needed.
- Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
