Position:

The Senior AI Research Scientist will join the AI product development team to assist in the creation of our suite of AI solutions. This role will also entail developing production-ready AI applications that are optimized for performance, dependability, and scalability using PySpark and Python. The position will blend machine learning, software development, and machine learning engineering.

Responsibilities:


• Design and implement production-level machine learning software utilizing PySpark and Python.

• Transform proof-of-concept models and feature requests into deployable code.

• Enhance and adapt existing software for improved performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Integrate cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and contribute to the development of novel methodologies.

• Collaborate across teams with data scientists, data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify challenges in the AI product suite and propose effective solutions.

• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, unit testing, and documentation for both new and existing software components.

• Mentor and guide junior Artificial Intelligence Scientist colleagues.

• Promote innovation by fostering a collaborative and energetic environment; lead participation in innovation summits and expos, recommend relevant training and conferences for team members, and contribute to publications and patent applications.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages and techniques (e.g., Python, PySpark).
  • Familiarity with common machine learning and deep learning methodologies (e.g., regression, clustering, classification, dimensionality reduction, supervised and unsupervised techniques, Bayesian reasoning, boosting, random forests, deep learning) and data analysis libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Spark MLlib).
  • Extensive experience with time series forecasting.
  • Prior experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).

Preferred:

  • Experience in the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., MLFlow, Argo).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, object-oriented software design, and system architecture.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Capability to work remotely.
