Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Journeyperson Solar Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including solar installations.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, circuit drawings, and code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
- Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical control, and distribution equipment.
- Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
- Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
- Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- Responsible for mentoring apprentices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Professional, approachable, and customer-service oriented.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in the commercial/industrial sector.
- Procore or related software experience.
- Valid Journeyperson Electrical Certification.
- Commercial Solar experience would be an asset.
Travel may be required, and the position may be on a job site.
