Associate Director of Care RN

At Sienna Senior Living, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Director of Care RN to join our team at Glen Rouge Long Term Community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centered care to residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs and preferences of residents.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas of improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance resident outcomes.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate nursing professionals, including Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses (RPN/LPN), and Personal Support Workers or Health Care Aides (PSW/HCA).
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional growth among team members.
- Provide ongoing education and training to nursing professionals on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and resident-centered care approaches.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing long-term care homes in Ontario or British Columbia.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, medication administration, and incident reporting to meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections, audits, and surveys addressing any deficiencies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science or have an equivalent post-diploma education.
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a nurse in Long Term Care.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
