Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is on the lookout for dedicated part-time educators to join our vibrant learning community. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about fostering academic growth in students and enjoy the art of teaching.

As a Mathematics Educator, you will not need to prepare lesson plans, as all instructional materials are provided. Comprehensive training in our unique educational philosophy and teaching methods will be provided to all successful candidates.

Position Requirements:

All educators at Oxford Learning work during after-school hours and evenings, as well as Saturdays. A commitment for the academic year is preferred, with the possibility of continuing through the summer. Reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

This is an in-person role, and candidates must be able to commute to the designated location. Vulnerable sector screening is required.

We encourage applicants who meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant discipline
  • Fourth-year university students with substantial tutoring experience will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum, capable of teaching from basic counting to advanced calculus

Experience:

  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring at the Kindergarten to Grade 12 level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate student understanding
  • Ability to manage multiple students simultaneously

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will serve as an Interactive Coach with the following duties:

  • Instructing up to three students at varying levels
  • Implementing both online and in-person teaching methods
  • Adhering to the educational philosophies and methodologies of Oxford Learning
  • Documenting post-lesson reflections
  • Providing daily updates on student progress
  • Maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor at all times
