Humber River Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their maximum range of movement and physical ability.
Job Summary:We are looking for a qualified Registered Physiotherapist who is comfortable with technology and a strong team player. The successful candidate will work effectively in conjunction with other inter-professional team members to optimize the mobility of our patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:- Providing appropriate assessment and treatment of referred patients with medical, cardiorespiratory, and orthopedic/surgical conditions within the Inpatient Units and Inpatient Rehab Unit.
- Prioritizing patient caseload to meet the needs of referred patients.
- Recording client assessment, progress and discharge status.
- Recording timely workload measurement data.
- Works as a member of the health care team.
- Flexibility in caseload and program assignment.
- Able to manage patient caseload in a busy acute care setting.
- Clinical supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy support personnel standards.
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Eligibility for C.P.A membership.
- Previous physiotherapy experience is an asset. Experience working with the acute care setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- A positive attendance record.
- Availability to work during both the week and weekend is an asset for the Casual position.
