The Head of Quality Assurance oversees a team of skilled professionals to direct organization-wide services and initiatives, including establishing the framework and planning for OPG's comprehensive compensation strategy to ensure the organization can attract and retain the appropriate talent to fulfill business objectives.

On behalf of Senior Leadership, formulate and uphold the essential policies, programs, and standards to guarantee compliance with current legislation and collective agreements in the domains of pensions, benefits, and compensation.

Continuously assess the internal and external landscape concerning pensions, benefits, compensation, and organizational structure. Recognize emerging challenges, devise strategic direction, and provide leadership for the creation of new initiatives for Senior Leadership.
Supervise the departments responsible for delivering compensation, pension, and benefits products and services.
Oversee third-party providers to ensure efficient operation and compliance with specified requirements. Direct the annual compensation program, establishing strategic direction for approval by Senior Leadership.

Address Labour Relations matters related to pensions, benefits, and compensation, including the analysis of data and the formulation of strategic direction in preparing agendas and materials for negotiations.

Develop corporate communication and educational initiatives related to the Total Compensation program.

Prepare, on behalf of the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, submissions and reports for the Board and Board Committees, Executive Management Team reports on HR performance, briefing notes for senior management, and other high-level submissions.

Professional training in a recognized post-secondary certification program is required.
A minimum of several years of progressive experience in effectively managing Compensation, Benefits, and Organizational Design strategies and program delivery;
Strong leadership capabilities with at least 5 years of management experience in effectively guiding, influencing, and motivating a team or department;
Previous experience in a unionized environment with a multi-union presence and compensation committee/management boards with comparable compensation structures;
Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge, and experience in cultivating, shaping, and sustaining productive relationships and strong partnerships across business units and among a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and executives throughout the organization;
Possess outstanding communication skills, particularly exceptional writing abilities.
Exceptional project management, organizational, and decision-making skills;
Solid experience and working knowledge of HRIS and compensation systems are essential.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams);
