As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance supplier performance. You will lead supplier-related activities, including raw material assessments, design reviews of contracted manufactured items, and materials packaging. Your expertise will ensure that service providers and laboratories adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and procurement practices that meet or exceed industry standards.

You will work closely with suppliers to guide them through the process of meeting all requirements for work transfer and process change management, including resourcing gates and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) certification. Your commitment to continuous improvement will drive the implementation of robust quality control measures throughout the supply chain.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational direction for supplier quality initiatives within a dynamic business environment.
  • Address complex challenges related to supplier performance and product quality.
  • Influence stakeholders across various departments regarding policies, practices, and procedures related to supplier quality.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve supplier capabilities and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Lead supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their adherence to GMP and procurement best practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate the successful implementation of PPAP certification and process change management initiatives.
Your Qualifications:
  • Possess a technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, or Quality, coupled with 15+ years or 10+ years of relevant experience respectively.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively guide and motivate teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of PFMEA and DFMEA methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of PPAP elements and process walk procedures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various manufacturing processes.
  • RedX or 6 Sigma Green Belt certification is highly desirable.
