This position is centered around Retirement & Wealth Planning, emphasizing the provision of tax, retirement, and estate planning strategies utilizing our exclusive personal financial planning tools.

What Awaits You?

As a vital member of the Family Office Service (FOS) team, the Financial Planning Analyst is dedicated to delivering holistic financial planning solutions to clients. This role involves serving as the main financial planner within our centralized service and collaborating closely with Financial Planning Specialists in various regions. Both aspects necessitate the creation and continuous refinement of our proprietary "Compass" comprehensive financial plans.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed personal financial plans in collaboration with different sales teams and Financial Planning Specialists, which entails understanding clients' goals, assessing their current financial situations, and formulating suitable advice, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about the latest financial planning standards and practices.
  • Engage in identifying, initiating, and pursuing opportunities for complementary services and solutions.
  • Maintain a strong partnership and knowledge base regarding all of RBC's divisions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and take part in development projects aimed at enhancing our service offerings.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals within Wealth Management Services.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • Financial Planner diploma awarded by the IQPF.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both French and English, written and verbal.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, with client-facing experience being a significant advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of the Canadian taxation framework.
  • Proficient in financial planning software (Conquest).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and adaptability to rapidly changing software environments.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) is essential, as interactions with partners across Canada are frequent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting designation.
