Position Overview:

The Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-stream faculty role focused on Personality Psychology or Social Psychology. This position is designated for the rank of Assistant Professor.

Research Expectations:

The ideal candidate will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair, aimed at recognizing exceptional emerging scholars. Candidates should be within ten years of obtaining their Ph.D. and must align their research with the eligibility criteria set by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, or a closely related field at the time of appointment. A strong record of research excellence is essential, demonstrated through publications in prestigious journals, presentations at significant conferences, and endorsements from reputable referees.

Teaching Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and graduate teaching on the University’s campus. Evidence of teaching excellence is required, which may include teaching evaluations, a teaching dossier, and records of innovative teaching practices.
