Position Overview: Senior Specialist, Cloud Development

This role involves a hybrid work arrangement with minimal travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the design, development, and deployment of applications supporting Colgate's expansive e-Commerce operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with business and IT teams to address daily support issues and manage project initiatives across various business sectors.
  • Translate complex business challenges into actionable solution designs.

Technical Expertise:

  • Implement IT standards in daily operations and project executions.
  • Utilize knowledge of business processes and technology to resolve intricate procedural challenges.
  • Develop and enhance user-facing features for both web and mobile eCommerce platforms.
  • Create reusable code and libraries for future application development.
  • Optimize applications for superior performance and scalability.
  • Increase test coverage for existing codebases.

Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Work alongside project teams to convert business requirements into digital solutions.
  • Engage with UX and design teams to ensure the feasibility of technical designs while maintaining a user-focused approach.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and explore opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance our platform.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Experience with major Digital Commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Background in web development or architecture.
  • Experience in user research or design thinking methodologies.
