Job Title: Director, Data Analytics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering leader to join our team at The Kynetec Group. As a Director, Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Data Engineering Team in North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team of data engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional and technical growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to contribute to Data Engineering strategy and direction.
  • Design and develop new data pipelines to enable insights for internal and external clients.
  • Improve our data infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
  • Optimize data delivery and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Develop relationships with technical teams to deliver on cross-functional measurements and testing.
  • Support the team's transition to a Databricks environment.
Requirements:
  • BA or MA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a technical environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in Databricks, with certifications advantageous.
  • Expert in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Fluent in Python or other common data languages.
  • Experience designing and developing data lake, data warehouse, ETL, and task orchestrating systems.
  • Experience creating, testing, and supporting production software and systems.
  • Experience creating large-scale data engineering pipelines and decision-making tools.
