Job Title: Child Care Worker Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team at 2023366 ALBERTA LTD.

Job Summary:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators in keeping records and submitting written observations on children
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Requirements:
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting
  • Permanent position with 32 to 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will work in a child care centre, before and after school programs, or a day care centre or nursery school. The work environment is fast-paced and requires flexibility and adaptability.
