About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Assistant to join our team at 2023366 ALBERTA LTD. As a Child Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our child care centre, ensuring the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Engage children in storytelling, singing, and other activities that promote their development.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of children.
  • Lead activities, prepare snacks, and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting or equivalent experience.
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
