Job Summary

Core-Mark International is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Associate to join our team. As a Merchandise Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing our SmartStock Programs in customer retail locations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a detailed and specific call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager.
  • Communicate weekly with Sales Account Manager to gain updated guidance on program execution.
  • Execute the SmartStock program, including rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, and merchandising activities.
  • Identify and reduce out-of-stocks on shelves.
  • Ensure products are fresh and within date code parameters.
  • Attend to customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
  • Identify display opportunities and maximize display positioning.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
  • Find solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use and understand store plan-o-gram and set instructions.
  • Ability to learn how to operate a hand-held inventory control device, calculators, and computer.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field.
