Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Associate to join our team at Core-Mark International. As a Merchandise Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing our SmartStock Programs in customer retail locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a detailed and specific call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager.
  • Communicate weekly with the Sales Account Manager to gain updated guidance on program execution.
  • Execute the SmartStock program, including rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, and merchandising activities.
  • Identify and reduce out-of-stocks on shelves.
  • Ensure products are fresh and within date code parameters.
  • Attend to customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
  • Identify display opportunities and maximize display positioning.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
  • Find solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use and understand store plan-o-gram and set instructions.
  • Ability to learn how to operate a hand-held inventory control device, calculators, and computer.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook.
