Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect

Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our transportation operations and train control systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned architect with a strong background in enterprise architecture, transportation operations, and train control systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet our business requirements and goals. Your expertise will help us modernize our applications and ensure seamless integration with our existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement Transportation Operations and Train Control/PTC solutions
  • Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to develop core Enterprise Architecture artifacts and strategies
  • Serve as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project customers
  • Deliver advisory services to IT functions, supporting technology-enabled business change
  • Develop and deliver transformation roadmaps and programs, ensuring strategic initiatives realize their value
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 20 years' experience in IT consulting or architect roles, with certifications and experience in architectural design and frameworks (especially TOGAF) considered an asset
  • Proficiency with Enterprise Architecture tools like BizzDesign, and hands-on experience in IT Strategy or Enterprise Architecture development
  • Experience in Business Transformation, with domain knowledge in Transportation and Train Control/PTC, and the ability to quantify the value of technology investments
  • Understanding of technology trends and their impact on Transportation and Train Control/PTC functions, including the value propositions of adopting new technologies
