About the Role:

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is seeking a reliable and skilled Medical Transportation Driver to join our team in La Ronge. As a Medical Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments, both within and outside of La Ronge
  • Ensure accurate documentation of each patient's information and complete necessary forms
  • Maintain the Medical Fleet Vehicles in good condition and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Complete daily log sheets for all trips and confirm client information with the supervisor prior to each trip
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designate

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Experience traveling in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Screening, and Driver's Abstract required upon hire
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
