About the Role:

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Transportation Driver to join their team in La Ronge. As a Medical Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for transporting band members to and from medical appointments within the community.

About the Facility:

The Medical Transportation program is located at the Jeannie Bird Clinic in La Ronge. This position will provide transportation services to LLRIB community members, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at medical appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport clients to and from medical appointments within the community
  • Ensure accurate documentation of each client's information
  • Maintain the Medical Fleet Vehicles in good condition
  • Complete daily log sheets on all trips
  • Confirm client information, destinations, and times with the supervisor prior to each trip
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designate

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Experience traveling in unforeseen weather conditions
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Screening, and Driver's Abstract required upon hire
